Our Staff
The Training Keys staff has extensive experience providing novel training solutions to a variety of customers in a range of formats. We have created and implemented training for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), delivered STEM enrichment camps and workshops for K-12 and college audiences, and facilitated wellness conferences and activities for academia and the general public. Our team has also developed curricula that were implemented in professional and academic programs on a range of topics and presented a unique framework for training STEM employees as well as for designing and implementing instructional escape rooms to assess learning effectiveness. While these services were rendered to professional organizations, Training Keys also serves individuals and small groups. We’re equipped to provide personal support through consultations and/or wellness sessions and can even come to your home to host activities for your personal group. We’ve created and facilitated activities at birthday parties and baby showers, and we can do the same for you!
Our Leadership Team
Members of the Training Keys leadership team have been offering its education and training services in the areas of academic enrichment, professional development, and personal development and wellness for the last 20+ years. The staff consists of personnel with professional backgrounds from academia, government, industry, and the health and wellness sectors who are trained to be motivational instructors and serve as consultants in different subject areas. Moreover, many of them are pioneers in their field who have implemented novel techniques and strategies in their disciplines, are routinely called upon to train the masses at well-known events, and regularly mentor the next generation of professionals in their areas of expertise.

The mission of Training Keys is to provide world-class/premiere, expert-level education, training, and consulting services across a wide range of topics that improve customers’ personal, corporate, and community experiences which ultimately heal/change the world.
Training Keys provide a variety of training solutions for corporate, community and professional organizations, and also individuals. Supporting clients from many different sectors, we match our wide range of products and services to a customer’s unique needs. Our instructional methods are based on the science of learning, and we consider a variety of learning styles. More importantly, our training is effective and fun!
CEO & Founder
Dr. Valerie Nelson is the visionary and CEO of Training Keys. Dr. Nelson is a highly recognized and motivated mathematician, cybersecurity executive, data science leader, and education and training professional with a passion for data science, education, training and outreach at all levels. She possesses over 20 years of experience in the intelligence field, 20+ years of college-level teaching experience, and 20+ years of nontraditional training on a diverse range of topics to a variety of audiences. Her experience includes corporate and technical leadership, STEM workforce development (particularly in cybersecurity, data science, mathematics, cryptanalysis); interdisciplinary curriculum and instructional design, train-the-trainer curricula, annual evaluation of grant proposals for STEM Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU); and academic enrichment and program coordination. Additionally, Dr. Nelson served as the Chief Instructor and Curriculum Coordinator for Prince George’s County MD’s Meeting of the Minds youth diversion program and the State's Attorney's Office Family Justice Academy for more than 10 years. She has personally developed and offers workshops, camps, and conferences for academic, professional, and personal development, and is a wellness professional supporting those in need through personal and group training sessions. She is a motivational speaker, a mentor to many, and a true light worker. Her goal is to heal the world by promoting self awareness, self worth, and self improvement.
